Percolating with ideas, I came home and realized a fabric vision of mosaic, creating Fractured Nature. The series was meant to continue, but other work interrupted that intention. So, drawn to mosaic, I decided to explore the actual medium, and began classes at the Main Line Art Center in 2015. Now in my 5th semester, I have navigated to glass\u2026 what I consider the \u201csilk \u201cof tesserae. The connection of mosaic and quilts is very compelling- both mediums explore imagery made up of pieces, so the transition was fluid and fulfilling.<\/p>\n<p>I am now focused on working with smalti \u2013 mosaic tesserae from richly colored glass.
